Fatal Accident: Driver Fatally Crashes Into White House Perimeter Gate

A tragic incident unfolded on Saturday night as a vehicle crashed into a perimeter gate of the White House complex, resulting in the death of the driver. The police are treating the incident as a traffic accident, according to statements released by law enforcement officials. President Joe Biden, who was spending the weekend in Delaware, was not present at the White House during the time of the incident. The Secret Service assured that there was no threat to the White House.
The male driver, whose identity remains undisclosed at the moment, was found dead inside the vehicle following the crash just before 10:30 p.m., as reported by a statement from the Secret Service. The vehicle collided with a security barrier at the intersection of 15th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue NW, stated the Metropolitan Police Department. Emergency services were alerted to the scene at 10:46 p.m., where the adult male was pronounced dead upon collision with the security barrier surrounding the complex.
The Secret Service affirmed that security protocols were promptly activated, and there was no indication of a threat to the White House. Investigations into the incident will be jointly conducted by the Secret Service and the police to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
