This is also important:

Jay Shetty will host the second annual Variety Faith & Spirituality in Entertainment Honors, presented by the Coalition for Faith & Media, on Dec. 4 in Los Angeles — coinciding with the second annual Faith & Media Impact Report.

The evening’s honorees include Bridget Everett, star & executive producer, “Somebody Somewhere”; Mo Amer, star, creator & executive producer, “Mo” and “Mo Amer: Wild World”; Tiffany Haddish, star & executive producer, “Tiffany Haddish Goes Off”; Zahn McClarnon, star & producer, “Dark Winds”; Thomas Pa’a Sibbett, creator & executive producer, “Chief of War”; and Traci Blackwell, senior development executive, Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios.

The evening will feature a networking reception followed by a seated dinner with an awards ceremony. Impact honorees profiled in the feature will attend the awards ceremony.

Variety is proud to partner again with the Coalition for Faith & Media on this important event to advance the conversation on improving and expanding accurate portrayals of faith in today’s entertainment landscape,” said Dea Lawrence, co-president and publisher of Variety.

The Honors Dinner will celebrate individuals who are supporting often underrepresented themes of faith and spirituality across film and TV. These awards will celebrate diverse portrayals of faith and spirituality.

“There is an untapped market in entertainment,” said Brooke Zaugg, executive director, Coalition for Faith & Media. “Consumers around the world are seeking storylines and characters that reflect thoughtful, nuanced portrayals of faith and spirituality. It’s not only good business but an opportunity to foster greater empathy and understanding. We’re thrilled that Variety is again honoring the diverse industry voices bringing this to life in artful and entertaining ways.”
