‘Hulk Hogan’s Rock ‘n’ Wrestling’ Coming to WWE Vault YouTube Channel
The animated series “Hulk Hogan‘s Rock’n’Wrestling” is coming to the WWE Vault YouTube channel.
WWE will begin running episodes of the the cult classic cartoon series, which originally aired from 1985-1986, in batches of four episodes every Saturday morning beginning Sept. 6 on the WWE Vault. The episodes will air in chronological order and will drop at 6 a.m., 8 a.m., 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. (all times are ET).
“Hulk Hogan’s Rock’n’Wrestling” featured Hogan and a group of babyface (good guy) wrestlers facing off in various whacky situations against a group of heels (bad guys) led by “Rowdy” Roddy Piper.
Other wrestlers featured included Andre the Giant, Junkyard Dog, Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, The Iron Sheik, and Bobby “The Brain” Heenan. Mean Gene Okerlund was also a character in the series. Interestingly, none of the wrestlers provided their own voices in the show due to their packed travel schedules, with Brad Garrett providing the voice of Hogan.
The first four episodes on the YouTube channel will be: “Junkyard 500/Junkenstein,” “The Four-Legged Pickpocket,” “Clean Gene/Andre’s Giant Problem,” and “Gorilla My Dreams.” 26 episodes were produced in total.
News of the show coming to the WWE Vault comes just over one month since Hogan, whose real name was Terry Bollea, died in Clearwater, FL, at age 71.
The WWE Vault launched on YouTube in June 2024 and currently has nearly 3 million subscribers. The channel has grown to over 217 million monthly views in that time, with 12.7 million viewing hours.
The channel features a mix of previously unseen footage, classic matches, and long-form compilations and repurposed documentaries and home videos from WWE’s extensive library. it also airs live streams of classic and never-before-seen events. WWE has also allowed fans to vote on which matches should be posted and both asking for and posting fan suggestions.
